In the summer of 2021, Greenville Ghost Tours founder Gabe Mathews and Kyle Jones (Gabe's paranormal apprentice) of Truth Searchers: Paranormal Investigators did a paranormal investigation on the grizzly Murdaugh murders in Islandton, SC. Truth Searchers: Paranormal Investigators were the first paranormal team to investigate the Murdaugh murders in Islandton, SC.

Recently Alex Murdaugh was charged with the murders of his wife and son. Truth Searchers: Paranormal Investigators may have assisted with the outcome of this investigation.
