Dance Flash Mob Downtown Greenville, SC - Oogie Boogie Woogie

You are invited to take part in the dance flash mob for the new yet-to-be-released dance craze, the Oogie Boogie Woogie! The dance flash mob will take place on July 29, 2023 meeting at 9am at Alchemy Theater at Coffee Underground. This dance flash mob is sponsored by Greenville Ghost Tours. What? A Dance Flash Mob in Downtown Greenville for the song Oogie Boogie Woogie.

What is the Oogie Boogie Woogie? It is an unreleased “new dance craze” with a monster theme written by certified paranormal investigator Gabe Mathews of Truth Searchers: Paranormal Investigators and owner of Greenville Ghost Tours. Gabe is a local paranormal investigator in Greenville.

When and where is the Dance Flash Mob? Saturday, July 29, 2023 at 9am we will meet at Alchemy Comedy Theater at Coffee Underground (1 E. Coffee St). We plan to do the dance downtown. We will be done no later than 10:15 am.

Why? We are filming a music video for the unreleased song and for publicity.

Do I need to dress up as a monster or something spooky? It is not required, but highly encouraged!

How do you do the dance? Watch the instructional video and demonstration further down on this page! Be sure to practice at home. We will try a run through at the meetup spot before the flash dance mob, but will be helpful to know the dance before meeting up.

What is the plan for the flash mob? We will meet at Coffee Underground, then when ready (9:30-10am), we will walk over to the dance location. When the music starts, everyone will do the Oogie Boogie Woogie dance. The dance is 5 minutes long and once the song is over, everyone will disperse like they don’t know each other.

When will the song be released? Plan to release it this fall on Spotify, etc. and will post the music video to our YouTube channel at that time.
